Making a pompon for Easter- DIY
Easter is always a nice time to do crafts. So get out your paper and wool and make some nice cheerful Easter creations, like a pompon. Very fun and easy to make with kids.
Easter egg crochet
You can crochet, for example Easter eggs? Super fun to make and not difficult. Ideal because you just hang these Easter eggs back in place every year.
Making Easter pompoms
Make your own Easter decoration. After last year’s eggs, this time I went looking for new inspiration. Wanting something a little different than crocheting or knitting, I searched for fun tips and ideas and came across these super cute, easy pompoms.
The idea for these creations comes from Honderdprocentheppie. I gave my own twist to the pompoms, purely with the things I had at home.
What you need
- cardboard
- Paper
- scissors
- wool
Sketch the Easter bunny and the little chick on cardboard first. First double cut out the shape of the chick and Easter bunny and trace it on a folding sheet and stick it on the cardboard.
Wrap the wool around the chick and around the Easter bunny. You just go along the head and paws with the wool. Use good sharp scissors when cutting the wool and hold the wool well in the middle of the figure, wrap a thread between the cardboard to keep the wool in place.
Normally you would cut away the cardboard with a pompon, but of course you leave it in place and you have a very nice and cheerful Easter decoration.
