Choosing oatmeal in the morning is ideal and healthy. You can eat it hot or cold, depending on the time you have in the morning. Because of the fiber it fills well and is fine to combine with milk products and fruit. Yet even with this breakfast it is easy to turn a healthy meal into an unhealthy version.

When you ’re short of time in the morning, it is easy to choose a quick breakfast. Now oatmeal for breakfast is super quick to make, but it’s even quicker when you go for the ready-made oatmeal. Don’t be tempted by this. There’s more sugar in these ready-to-eat products than when you make that breakfast yourself.
The same is for the choice of granola and cruesli. You can assume that there is more sugar in granola than in muesli. Always read the labels carefully!
What to combine your breakfast with?
Oatmeal on its own is very boring, it has little taste and doesn’t look very cozy in a bowl with your breakfast. So it is logical that people are quickly tempted to sprinkle sugar on top, chocolate chips or any other topping that makes your breakfast unhealthy. Don’t, because you will make the healthy breakfast unhealthy.
